It is Down syndrome Canada’s ambition to improve the lives of individuals with Down syndrome across the country. We are initiating active programs to provide consistent services, new initiatives, and innovative resources to alleviate the pressure on families and guardians. Focusing on discovering, celebrating, and supporting the best local projects is an excellent approach to identifying and adapting effective programming models.
In collaboration with our research arm, the Down Syndrome Research Institute, we will engage locally to understand current needs, true inconsistencies, and unfortunate deficiencies that challenge our community. This research will enable refreshed designs and development for change by involving attentive partners to implement improvements for people with Down syndrome. As one of the founding partners of the Down Syndrome Foundation, we are equally committed to raising awareness through available services to ensure we can make significant contributions to the community.
